FAQs about IKOffice and LivingERP.
IKOffice LivingERP is an ERP system specifically designed for companies that manufacture and trade in plastic, stamped, deep-drawn, and bent parts. It is suitable for companies with 10 to 500 employees.
The maintenance or service contract ensures that your system remains operational, up-to-date, and secure, and is an essential component throughout the entire period of use of your ERP software. It includes all updates as well as telephone assistance and support for your employees. At approximately 7–12% of the total cost per year, we have created one of the most affordable and comprehensive service offerings in the industry.
The ERP software developed by IKOffice provides a comprehensive solution for every conceivable business transaction. Nevertheless, we can accommodate the unique needs of your company through customizations. We work with you to tailor our ERP system to your specific on-site requirements without compromising your connection to the core system or your ability to receive updates.
Our server system is delivered as a virtual machine based on Debian Linux. It can also be installed directly on a (physical) server, i.e., without a virtualization host. The client is optimized for Windows, but runs just as efficiently natively on Linux, where it uses GTK 3. The layout differs slightly in some screens, but the functionality is identical.
Der IKOffice MoldManager is designed for project-based custom manufacturers, such as those found in tool, mold, model, fixture, machine, and plant construction, while our IKOffice LivingERP is the item-based ERP system for mass production. These systems truly demonstrate their full potential through seamless integration between product concept, toolmaking, and mass production.
The costs for the IKOffice LivingERP system are composed as follows:
- A basic license (one-time purchase)
- Number of user licenses (rule of thumb: 1 per 10 employees or fraction thereof)
- Introductory Package (Definition of Interfaces and Workflows; Rule of Thumb: 1 package per 20 employees)
- Training package (rule of thumb: 1 per 10 users)
- Annual maintenance costs (approx. 7–12% of the total amount)
IKOffice recommends using a virtual server, as we can provide you with preconfigured virtual machines. Of course, the IKOffice server can also be installed on a physical machine. If that is the case, we will coordinate the details with you individually.
The minimum requirements for the virtual server are as follows:
- RAM: at least 8 GB
- Processor: at least 2 CPU cores
- Hard drive space: at least 50 GB HDD
Recommended requirements:
- Memory: 12–16 GB RAM
- Processor: 2–4 CPU cores (4 cores are recommended for 10 or more concurrent users)
- Processor frequency: >= 3 GHz CPU frequency (IKOffice benefits from single-thread performance)
- Hard drive space: >= 50 GB HDD (more if IKOffice document management is used)
User licenses for IKOffice software can be purchased as named or concurrent (also known as floating) licenses. While named licenses specify the users by name, concurrent licenses only limit the total number of users. For further details, please refer to the “Licensing Information” sheet.
Depending on the type of application, IKOffice can connect to surrounding ERP systems such as SAP, Navision, Dynamics, WinCarat, AS400, and many others via interfaces. We also successfully implement data transfers to financial accounting systems such as DATEV, FibuNet, Simba, etc. Furthermore, there are connections, for example, to time-tracking systems such as ZEUS, AIDA, ATOSS, or bedatime; control centers such as ProSeS or the ARBURG control computer system (ALS); and various quality assurance (QA) systems.
However, the exact process for transferring and receiving data is always defined on a case-by-case basis during preliminary workshops. An example of this is the integration in our flowchart .
